My couples approach me because they love the natural moments and connections they see in my photos, and it’s just as important to me that you feel comfortable and at ease throughout your day. During your portraits I will provide gentle direction guiding you through couple portraits or discreetly capturing the raw elements of lights and love throughout your day allowing for authentic moments to unfold naturally. You’re not supposed to know how to pose, it’s my job to capture you at your best and to bring my creative eye to deliver a gallery that reflects not only the visual beauty of your wedding day but also the profound emotions shared between you and your loved ones.
Think timeless Hollywood meets pure photojournalism with a huge generous splash of fashion editorial and light-heartedness
The experience is just as important as the end result... okay maybe not as important but definitely close.
A documentary approach with an editorial finish.
In non-photography words, this means a very relaxed, non-intrusive, and easygoing approach on your wedding day, but without sacrificing the quality and look of your photos. I don’t believe in manufacturing moments, so instead, I go with the flow, capturing split seconds as they unfold in front of me throughout the day. As I document these fleeting moments, the unspoken promise between partners, the pride in the parents' eyes, and the joyous gathering of families, my commitment is to authenticity, using beautiful light to preserve the essence of each moment with integrity and beauty and keeping a true to life colour palate to capture all your details exactly as you remember them yet with a luminous feel.

A key evolution in my work has been the incorporation of 35mm film photography, a decision inspired by a desire to bring a deeper level of authenticity and warmth to my images with the imperfections of film, the grain and the way it captures light, bring a character and depth to photographs that resonate with the luxurious, yet personal, atmosphere of the weddings I shoot. Film photography, with its unique texture and richness, complements her natural style, adding an extra layer of rawness, nostalgia and timelessness while bringing a joy from the intrigue of not seeing instant results that we are so used to now.

We really hoped that there might be one or two good pictures of us from the day and plenty showing our guests and the beautiful setting of Firle Place. Just a few days later, a huge sneak peek of photos landed in our inbox. We were absolutely blown away by what we saw; Those initial concerns about angles and profiles went out of the window as we looked at photograph after photograph of two grooms, who had scrubbed up pretty well, at ease and tender with each other, having the time of their lives, captured in images striking and strong. Never before had we appeared this comfortable in front of a camera.
In due time we received the full collection of images from the day and we couldn’t have been happier. If we were to summarise what we were looking at, Nicci had captured the joy of the occasion, she was the hidden eyes. We were totally presented with the unexpected. Through our photographs, we not only had a great record of the day but we saw friendships forming, dance floor partnerships we never expected to see, side splitting laughter and a whole lot of love.
Our wedding photographs have far surpassed expectations and have given us memories to last a lifetime.
A photographic account was always going to be one of the most important requirements of our wedding day. With that, the trust we would put in our photographer was going to be huge. We were looking for watchful eyes on the event, to record all the detail that we as grooms would inevitably miss and to give us as near as possible, a complete account of the day.
We had trawled the internet far and wide for a photographer. We had visited the wedding sites, read the reviews and scrutinised the portfolios. When we came across the Adorlee website, we knew we had found something special. All of the pictures oozed class, every image was carefully chosen, with brides and grooms looking effortlessly at ease, happy and unaware of the camera whilst enjoying their best day. We realised that this was exactly what we were looking for with our wedding photographs.
When we met with Nicci to chat about how we wanted to remember the day, she proved to be the perfect fit for us. We discussed how one groom is completely at ease and enjoys being in front of the camera, whilst the other brings a whole array of awkwardness, with a long list of angles and cliches to be avoided.
Our guest list was destined to be wonderfully diverse and mildly eccentric. We didn’t know how the dynamic would pan out, but we knew that we needed to capture and record all of the inclusivity, fun and everything unexpected, for posterity. Unphased and enthusiastically onboard, Nicci had her work cut out.
On the wedding day Nicci spent time with us in our room where we were staying and as we continued getting ready together we were mostly unaware of a lens capturing us and our groom squad. Completely at ease, nothing overly formal, we were happy grooms.
Nicci was everything we could have hoped for in a wedding photographer, from our initial conversation back in 2018 to navigating covid and finally getting married in 2022, she couldn’t have been more accommodating, friendly and supportive.
Nicci was such a calming presence on the day of the wedding, we are so happy with our photos which we can always look back on to be reminded of our special day full of happy memories. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Nicci to anyone else getting married and looking for a photographer!
Darren and I still can’t believe how perfect our wedding day was, and Adôrlee was such a huge part of this. Nicci was professional, organised, and attentive to every detail without ever feeling intrusive, and we both felt so at ease in front of the camera. We already had high expectations of what we expected to receive as our online gallery, however what we were sent exceeded all expectations. Nicci is a genuinely lovely person to share such intimate moments of the day with and we are so grateful to her for providing us with memories that will last a lifetime. We couldn’t recommend enough!
We found Nicci via Instagram and knew she was the photographer for our wedding. Super lovely, professional and incredibly talented. Rule of thumb: you get why you pay for. Nicci has a real eye for capturing those magic moments that you’ll simply miss on the day, because there are so many! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her. She’s fabulous, honest and incredible value for the quality of service and memories captured!
Nicci photographed our wedding in December 2020 after several failed attempts due to the pandemic. With every reschedule she was supportive and accommodating which really helped ease my stress, despite it also being a tough time for her too.
She provided beautiful previews within days after the wedding and I was speechless! I chose Nicci for her candid, relaxed style, ability to re-touch if need be and flexibility to provide a selection of black and white and colour images if I wished - I was not disappointed. The full range of images was really impressive and we have received so many compliments. She was so friendly and professional and felt like part of our group of 15 guests, which was so important for such an intimate wedding.
Nicci will always come highly recommended by us. The photographs have made our memories of the day and I couldn’t have asked for better.
I really can't recommend Nicci at Adorlee highly enough! From our first conversation it was clear that she was someone we would be happy to spend our wedding day with - she was friendly, fun and approachable yet very professional, and organised, and we loved the natural look of her photography. On the actual day, Nicci was an absolute star, managing to get some amazing shots despite the pouring rain, and gave us really good direction to get the best photos, without ever intruding on the moment. We received so many lovely photos that I still haven't been able to pick a favourite 6 months on! Thank you Nicci!
Nicci at Adôrlee was everything we could’ve hoped for in a wedding photographer! She is incredibly friendly, professional and her attention to detail is second to none. Communication was brilliant right from the start and she provided fantastic advice and tips along the way.
We are completely over the moon with the beautiful gallery we received and the fantastic experience we had right from the start. We couldn’t have wished for a better photographer and would recommend her to anyone!
We absolutely loved having our photos taken by Adôrlee! I used to be a photographer myself so choosing the perfect photographer to capture our day was paramount. I did so much research but after meeting with Nicci and looking at her work the choice was easy. She is such a pro and her images are romantic and wonderful. She managed to capture the essence of our wedding, both the posed and candid shots. She made those who didn't feel comfortable on camera at ease. We definitely recommend Adôrlee, the photographs are part of the memories that you hold for years to come.
We can't put into word just how amazing our photos are, they are exactly what we wanted, our guests and us just enjoying the day and having fun.
Nicci listened to our wishes and made helpful suggestions to ensure we captured everything.
When we received our photos back from our wedding we were over the moon and even some of our guests have booked Nicci since for their weddings and also family photos.
Nicci we can't thank you enough.
Choosing a wedding photographer is not an easy task: after all, they are taking photos of probably the most important day of your life. Also, they are not cheap! So you want to get the balance between style and cost just right.
Nicci at Adorlée was all that we could have wished for: she called me very promptly, and we ended up having a great discussion about her work, my hopes for the pictures, and the cost! There is a lot of work after the event which I was not aware of at all. Given that my wedding was one of the first to be locked down, and then when it did take place we were reduced again from 30 to 15, Nicci was a great comfort. She was a very reassuring presence through an incredibly stressful period. And as for the day itself, well, we were delighted. Somehow she managed to be everywhere all at once, without anyone seeing her! Such an amazing quality for a photographer! I’ve been at other weddings where the photographer simply gets in the way. The results were outstanding, and two of my guests had hoped to book her for their weddings, but their diaries sadly did not coincide.
Nicci is most certainly a 5* photographer and if I could do the day again, we would have her right back. Very highly recommended.
Nicci was absolutely amazing at our wedding, made us feel so comfortable and at ease. We were really stressed when our first photographer cancelled on us but as soon as we spoke to Nicci and saw her work, we knew that everything had worked out for the best. We absolutely love our wedding photos and could not recommend Nicci enough!
Choosing Nicci to photograph our wedding day was the easiest decision to make. She put everyone who stepped in front of the camera completely at ease and captured the most beautiful memories for us to cherish. I would recommend her to anyone!
We couldn't have asked for more from our wedding photos. Nicci has the most incredible eye and every single shot is just beautiful. She captured the day perfectly, spotting lovely natural moments between our family and friends that emit all the joy from the day. Nicci was such a calming presence and was completely unobtrusive yet somehow managed to be everywhere capturing so many beautiful details; every time I look at the photos I see something new! Our 'golden hour' shots are gorgeous because she knew the perfect five minutes to take advantage of. We felt so relaxed with her and looking back on our photos brings back all the memories and emotions of the day. We absolutely love them and will treasure them forever.

...Our guest list was destined to be wonderfully diverse and mildly eccentric and we knew that we needed to capture and record all of the inclusivity, fun and everything unexpected, for posterity.
Just a few days after our wedding, a huge sneak peek of photos landed in our inbox.
When we received the full collection of images from the day and we couldn’t have been happier.
Choosing Nicci to photograph our wedding day was the easiest decision to make. She put everyone who stepped in front of the camera completely at ease and captured the most beautiful memories for us to cherish. I would recommend her to anyone!
Very highly recommended.
immerse yourself in a world where each photograph narrates a unique story, where authenticity meets elegance.

Absolutely, although I am based on the South coast, I photograph nationally in England and Wales and I’ve been very fortunate to capture some gorgeous weddings abroad. I welcome any opportunity to be in the sunshine and would love to hear more about your destination wedding.
In England and Wales travel is charged at 45p per mile (first hour is free). For long distances in England I am always happy to negotiate a travel price. Depending on times and distance, on occasion, overnight accommodation may be required for the night prior to your wedding day. For international assignments, taxi's / car rental are also to be paid by the client.
If you've booked a full day with me then I will be with you for up to 9 hours, if there's no more happening and I feel I have captured everything before nine hours then I will check with you if there's anything else you'd like captured before I head off. If your day is running over you will be invoiced after the wedding for any additional hours worked. Ideally you’d have me from preparations (generally 2-3 hours before the wedding) to just after your first dance. Unless you love my fun party shots then you can add an hour or two or even book my all evening coverage. Just see my Extra Bells & Whistles section under my prices.
For intimate weddings with shorter coverage, the amount of time required will be discussed and confirmed prior to/ upon booking.
*As standard industry practice coverage time are continuous hours therefore this starts from the moment I arrive until the moment I depart.
I offer a variety of albums. If you’d like an album or prints, that’s not a problem - we can chat about that after you’ve received your wedding images or you can purchase these yourself from your clever online gallery store.
If you’d like to add an album to your package when booking, just let me know when and I can email my Queensberry Album Brochure across for you. You can add these to your package at any time or purchase one at a later date up to 3 years after your wedding day.
I truly believe photos should be seen in print, so an album is such a wonderful way to take a trip down memory lane. My clients often buy albums from me for their one year wedding anniversary, or even 3 year! Just bear in mind current prices are only guaranteed for one year after your wedding day, therefor you may see an increase in price after this date.
We go and dance in it! Okay, so the weather is something completely out of my control but I assure you I will capture beautiful photos regardless. The couples who let this get to them and get upset about it end up not enjoying their day as much, the ones who embrace it always end up having the most brilliant of weddings and an awesome atmosphere. Work with me and come outside in the less rainy moments, pack some wellies or go barefoot, bring umbrellas and embrace it. You might get a little dirty, but your wedding day isn’t about the weather, it’s about you two united as a couple, that’s what I’m there to photograph - to give a true representation of your day come rain or shine.
A signed contract along with your £800 booking fee is required to secure your wedding date. A contract is put in place for obvious reasons to protect both you as clients and myself as your photographer. Once the initial payment has been received and contract signed your date is booked.
Morbid I know, but it’s a good question, right?! So... it would have to be something life threatening or super serious for me to be unable to photograph your wedding. If it were to happen though, I work with and am friends with a huge bunch of lovely and talented full-time female wedding photographers who are at the same standard as me who are ready and waiting to ‘jump in’ at the last minute, should something terrible happen. As long as I’m still alive!!!.. they’ll still be edited by me in my style.
You will receive a good mix of both. During the editing process I will carefully select which images look best in colour or black and white, this comes from my creative eye and you will definitely receive some in both when I'm indecisive and they just look gorgeous in both. Some images most definitely don't work in black and white and can lost the punch, while some have too many unflattering bright coloured distractions and therefore black and white detracts from this allowing me to keep an otherwise beautiful image.
You will receive approximately 20 previews within 72 hours of your wedding day. Seasons change so normally it takes up to 8-10 weeks for weddings and sessions 6 weeks but it all depends on the season. I will contact you as soon as all of your images are ready. I am a true perfectionist and therefore will not rush the editing process.
With a wedding photographer package you get every photo that passes the quality criteria. I select the images based on my professional and experienced opinion. The ones which are not used are basically duplicates of the ones in your final set, eyes closed, someone has walked in front of the camera, unflattering ones or images where the flash has misfired or the lens mis-focused. For a full days wedding you can expect upward of 600 images.
Oh yes, I am Team Canon, photographing with two Canon R6 MkII's, Canon Speedlites 600EX II's, and all Canon lenses including my babies - my 50mm f1.2 and my 85mm f1.2. For my 35mm film I also use a Contax G2 with 45mm lens. My second shooters use a selection of professional prime and zoom lenses.
Yes of course. An associate or a second photographer can be added to your wedding photography package when you book up to 2-3 months before your wedding day, once you have a better idea of your budget. If you are planning to have 100 guests or more then I highly recommend a second photographer, and for over 150 guests a second photographer is a necessity. My regular second photographers are Drew, Helen, Samantha, and Aga, as we all work in a really similar style and to a high standard.
If you would like to see a couple of full galleries showing weddings with or without a second/ associate photographer, please do let me know and I can email you some links across.
I’m really fortunate to be a part of fantastic network of photographers - we’re all friends :) I work with a small selection of professional, friendly, fun + talented photographers who shoot with me at weddings. They’re all equally passionate about what they do + have a similar approach to photography. You’ll usually find out more about who is second shooting when it comes to around 2 months before your wedding as it varies depending on who’s available on your wedding date. As soon as I know who’ll be second shooting – I’ll be able to let you know a bit more about them too.
If I have never worked at your venue before and it is local, then I can do a venue visit, and if you are also local then I like to schedule this in with a pre-wedding meet to discuss any final details. For weddings further afield or overseas, I shall visit the venue either the day before (upon arrival) or on the morning of before I start shooting. if you are nervous that I haven’t worked at your venue before please do get in touch and I can send you some full galleries of weddings from my first times at venues so you can rest assured that you need not worry. A good and experienced photographer will produce just as awesome photos a first time at a venue. If meeting me beforehand then ask to see my sample Queensberry album - this showcases the first wedding I ever photographed at a Southend Barns back in 2012.
No not at all. Engagement shoots are great fun and a really good way for us all to get to know each other. Some couples like to book one to break the ice and have a practice run, others prefer to go with the more natural process of being photographed at their wedding (when they are on a wedding high and possibly more relaxed with a glass of bubbles!). Either way your wedding day images will be gorgeous. I would say the main advantage to a pre-wedding shoot is that you can look at the photos after and advise me of poses or angles that you prefer in the photos and this gives you and me a better idea of what poses you'll be happier with in your final wedding photos.
Yes please. Wedding coverage usually stretches out over a long day, so by dinner time – our crummy sandwiches don’t quite cut it, especially on a hot summers day. We don’t need a three course meal, just something warm to keep us ticking over. If I were to leave your wedding in search of food, I could be gone for up to an hour and might miss something. I do take a break to of course eat and this is while you and your guests are eating, this time is including in the coverage time although I do tend to literally eat, take more photos of your venue and any signs and use this time to also back up your photos. (Top tip - A fed photographer is a happy photographer!).
I also love a dessert if you're feeling generous ;-)
*Check with your venue though as some offer supplier meals at a lower price.
No. I've most likely discussed this with you already but I do feel it's important that this is reiterated here as you are not photographers and will most likely assume you own copyright to your wedding photos. Photography in the eyes of the law is a piece of art, we as photographers, are artists, and therefor having been the person to press the shutter, the photographer always owns the copyright, unless they have agreed to sell and sign over the copyright, which is incredibly rare. A second photographer signs over copyright to the main photographer and therefore would give me permission to edit and own these images due to the main subject being my client. Although I retain the copyright, you do however, have the right to refuse me use of your images for public display on my website, social media and promotional materials, you also have a license to print for personal use, post online, give to your family and friends, anything really. The only thing you cannot do is alter my images or use them for commercial gain.
*as a small business I of course appreciate my clients support, and the photos I take are what gains me future work. As your wedding approaches you will receive a form asking for permissions for various use of your images, this is entirely your choice and I will respect and honour your decision.
Okay, so the Coronavirus pandemic came to shock to all of us, and was something we'd never had to deal with in the industry before, this was a worrying topic for all couples across the country (& beyond) and has certainly made them anxious about booking suppliers. I can assure you though, I remained busy throughout with an income, even if it was a little lower than usual), and if anything I came back stronger with my business thriving.
If this were to happen again, I would (as before) intend on attending every wedding I have booked in my diary, however, as an established business and for the safety and insurance of you, myself and your loved ones, I would of course, have to adhere to government guidelines.
If you decide / are forced to postpone your wedding day then I am happy to transfer your date, as long as I am available, with no charge or change in my service to you, to a future date within 12 months (unless the pandemic is still going strong after that then we can move it later). If you decide to go ahead with a small ceremony within government guidelines on your original date then I will still photograph this and if you wish to also have a second wedding day / celebration at a later date, you can carry any remaining hours over. These can of course be topped up if need be by purchasing additional hours.
If I am unavailable for your new date, I will offer an associate photographer who are always to the same standard of photographer as me and who shoot with the same documentary approach, to capture your day, with the images still being edited by me in my signature style.
If you choose to cancel your wedding, my booking fee of £500 remains non-refundable (unless it is a forced majeure). Any other monies already paid will be refunded.
Many of my couples are in the public eye and therefore upon request VIP arrangements (confidentiality agreements) will be put in place to protect any public or press interest if that's your preference. In this case, any photos used for public display by Adôrlee for self-promotion, will need to be agreed in writing first. Please do let me know if you or a guest, is a public figure or in a position of authority and you would like this put in place.
Preferably we'll have a friendly a Zoom video call, or a simple chat over the phone to discuss your wedding ideas, your photography requirements, my service, my clients, my experience and my prices. Some, if local or willing to travel may prefer to meet in person for a chance to view an album or two.
Some couples prefer to just get booked in and have a friendly chat closer to their wedding day, this is also fine.
Nearly every couple I meet say this! But rest assured there won't be any awkward poses or extravagant setups. I maintain a balanced approach of gentle direction with letting the natural spark ignite between you to capture your connection. Please know that there are zero expectations on you to be or act a certain way. Every couple is different and I want to capture that unique aspect that makes you YOU.
