Now, there’s a bit of a story behind this wedding. Will is a photographer in his own right and we have worked together many times in the past, although when we first met it was on my first wedding job as a main photographer, when capturing Will’s cousins wedding back in 2008, Will followed me around all day with his camera, secretly hoping he’d done a better job than me (he later told me that I need not have any worry in regard to that!). I was absolutely honoured and thrilled for him when he called me to say he was getting married and that he wanted me to capture it! They chose the Tythe Barn in Launton, which is an astounding venue, it really does have that authentic barn feel to it combined with an idyllic backdrop and grounds. One of my favourite perks of this Oxford wedding venue is the Bridal suite, known as the Nook! Oh my word, it is truly fabulous, oozing with natural light, quirky details like its wood labelled with spotlights, a huge standing full length grand mirror, and a feature wall with name signs and wooden plinths for your dress, shoes, veil and bouquet - you must check out the photo of this in the reel below! When I arrived at the Nook this was my first time ever meeting the lovely Amber, Will’s bride-to-be, and can I just say, she is AWESOME! I love her, she is fun, kind, down to earth, a professional in her own right working as a ... and bloody hilarious. Also one of the most relaxed brides I have had the pleasure of working with. The Nook was also filled with excitement and laughter with Ambers three lovely bridesmaids prepping for the big day and Ambers family popping their heads in and rushing around doing the final details throughout the morning.
I had the talented Anneka Sanghera working with me for Will & Ambers wedding day, covering the Groom prep with Will and the guys. The Ceremony was held at the Tythe Barn with all of the guests sat outside in what was unexpectedly a very hot and sunny day!
Take a browse through this beautiful wedding at The Tythe Barn in Launton. This was my first visit to this venue and I have to admit I fell in love with it. The Nook used for the bridal prep is so light yet quaint, and the venue owners have put so much thought into all the tiny details! An outdoor ceremony at an authentic barn in the Oxfordshire countryside. A place of beauty and a wedding full of fun, tears, love and laughter.
