I laughed hard, I caught a tear in my eye, I oooh'd and I aaah'd, I felt happy. This is what I want for my clients - to feel something, for these photos to bring back the REAL memories of their day. Not jumping in the air; they aren't the memories of the day - it's the moments, actions, expressions, seeing the laughter and the tears - natural documentary photos that are going to bring these memories back, over and over again, every time you look at your photos. These are the ones I really feel strongly about, that I want to portray in my portfolio as these are the ones that I want to capture at your wedding, this is my aim, THIS is my purpose for your wedding day.
Having been lucky enough to have photographed so many weddings, traveled to many beautiful countries and having had the experience with the most exquisite and prestigious of clients and events - I am completely aware of everything that is happening around me, and love the fact that it's all there to be captured. I see the beauty in just about everything.
When I made the photo selection for my latest galleries, I steered away from the norm, I didn't opt for all technically perfect ones, all the really pretty ones, instead I felt something -

If choosing to have me as your Wedding photographer, and once your date has been secured, you officially become my client, an Adôrlee Bride or Adôrlee Groom, and will receive the private link to Adôrlee Client Secret Website; here you will find any forms that I require in the lead up to your Wedding day, as well as tips, links to the best wedding blogs and sites for inspiration, favourite suppliers, and last but certainly not least, my very own Wedding Guide e-magazine designed specifically for my clients.
If you opt for an engagement session in your package then we can now schedule this in the Adôrlee Diary. It's a fantastic opportunity where I can truly get to know my couples! It's during the engagement session that I can show you how I work and how easy it is to capture those natural photos, even for the most camera-phobic of people! I can run through the best poses, and you can trust me to know the most flattering angles for you, capturing you in your most genuine form.
You’ll receive every photo that passes the quality criteria. At the time of processing, blinkers, misfires and duplicates are removed. Everything else is yours… the amount varies from wedding to wedding but for an average sized wedding with one photographer you can expect around 500 images.
A friendly chat about your wedding ideas, your photography, my service, my clients, prices, and a chance for you to look through my portfolio and view an album. The best part of a consultation is meeting one another and seeing, more than anything, if you can see yourself having me around on your big day!
Unless requested otherwise, a small selection of 5-10 photos from your wedding day can be shown on the Adorlee instagram / facebook page or in a private online gallery within a few days of your wedding, over the following week or two I may post a larger selection on the Adorlee blog. I will contact you as soon as all of your images are ready. During the high season this can take up to 6 weeks - I am a true perfectionist and therefore will not rush the editing process.
Yes. For my own sins, I can never decide which I prefer. I strongly believe in delivering colour images as these really show all the colours and detail you put into your day, as well as the weather and much more. Some colours can really pop and a smile to your face. On the other hand, I am a total sucker for black & white, it has a timeless nature and really draws the focus on the subject with no colours distracting the eye. Therefore, I find myself in a predicament! So to give myself more work and to save you coming back and asking for that photo of Aunt Mary in colour or the one of Daddy in black & white, I just deliver every image in both colour and in black & white!
We go and dance in it! Okay, so the weather is something completely out of my control but I assure you I will capture beautiful photos regardless. Work with me and come outside in the less rainy moments, pack some wellies or go barefoot, bring umbrellas and embrace it. You might get a little dirty, but your wedding day isn’t about the weather, it’s about you two united as a couple, that’s what I’m there to photograph - to give a true representation of your day come rain or shine.
I believe in telling a story and therefor I include up to 10 hours of coverage on your wedding day. Unless otherwise requested, I start photographing bridal prep from approximately 2-3 hours before your ceremony and I stay until just after your first dance. If you are planning fireworks or having your exit captured on camera, extra hours can be added to your package at £150 per hour. *Bespoke packages and coverage are available upon request.
Engagement shoots are great fun and a really good way for us all to get to know each other. Some couples like to book one to break the ice and have a practice run, others prefer to go with the more natural process of being photographed at their wedding (when they are on a wedding high and possibly more relaxed with a glass of bubbles!). Either way your wedding day images will be gorgeous.
Of course, planning your wedding can take up a lot of time and money! I truly believe photos should be seen in print so an album is such a wonderful way to take a trip down memory lane. My clients often buy albums from me for their one year wedding anniversary, or even 3 year!
No. As the photographer of your images I retain the copyright. You do however have the license to print for personal use, post online, give to your family and friends, anything really. The only thing you cannot do is alter my images or use them for commercial gain.
Yes. I edit each selected image, individually, in Adobe Lightroom and then lightly retouch them in Adobe Photoshop. Being a professional retoucher, intensive digital retouching is available as an extra, however, as standard I will make sure that any spots or skin blemishes are removed or softened, and any back fat is tucked in. You will he presented with both black & white and colour versions of each of your photos.
If I have never worked at your venue before and it is local, then I can do a venue visit, and if you are also local then I like to schedule this in with a pre-wedding meet you discuss any final details. For weddings further afield or overseas, I shall visit the venue either day before (upon arrival) or on the morning of before I start shooting. if you are nervous that I haven’t worked at your venue before please do get in touch and I can send you some full galleries of weddings from my first times at venues so you can rest assured that you need not worry. A good and experienced photographer will produce just as awesome photos a first time at a venue. If meeting me beforehand then ask to see my sample Queensberry album - this showcases the first wedding I ever photographed at a Southend Barns.
Upon request VIP arrangements (confidentiality agreements) will be put in place to protect any public or press interest, therefore any photos used for public display by Adôrlee for self-promotion, will need to be agreed in writing first. Please do let me know if you are / a guest is a public figure or in a position of authority and you would like this put in place.
