I simply love this venue, Southend Barns is gorgeous, just down the road form me and the weddings here always have the great staff from Field & Fork and a fantastic atmosphere. As for this awesome couple, Mike & Jennie, we adored them – such good fun, and so very much in love.
Having chose this rustic barn with modern touches, Jennie had kept the look classy with some modern style and elegant candelabras decorated with stunning flower displays by Mike’s sister-in-law.
Jennie’s three daughters were her Bridesmaids and looked gorgeous. Of course though, all eyes were on Jennie, what a beautiful bride, even Tim my second photographer looked to me and said, “WOW she’s stunning” and I must say, she was such a lovely relaxed bride too! I felt so comfortable around the girls on the morning, it just felt like being in a room with friends, we had a real giggle. Jennie wore an elegant lace dress by ‘Essence’ of Australia and I loved this look on her, the delicate lace and detail framing the tiny frame of Jenni’s back looked sensational.
Tim spent the morning over in Arundel at their home with Mike, his brother, best friend and two sons. They were super chilled and enjoyed a boys morning before heading to the beautiful St Nicholas church in Arundel early to welcome the guests. This church was fabulous for photos and I must add that I have never seen a couple laugh so much and be so enthusiastic when singing to the hymns, it was lovely.
After the ceremony we returned to Southend Barns where the couple were welcomed by the amazing voices of four young men called ‘On That Note’ Barbershop Quartet with acoustic vocals! This was followed by champagne and canapes from Field & Fork and an incredible mixed Popcorn Cart (also by Field & Fork).
We had a lot of fun in the crop field, after the champagne had flowed, we captured lots of stunning photos in the warm sunlight with a very merry Groom and the giggly Jennie. They were great.
The whole day was amazing, there was glorious sunshine, blue skies, a sunset, the talented Amy B singing throughout the early evening, and then an evening of fun and partying with the The 88’s.
I can’t write this without saying a huge thank you to Mike and Jennie for hiring us to capture your perfect day. You are truly such a lovely couple, you both looked incredible and I sincerely wish you both the very best for the future as husband and wife.
So again, Thanks so so much for booking us – I genuinely had the best time and look forward to showing you the rest of your photos!
