A Summer Fete Wedding!
What a couple! we totally fell in love with this adorable Bride and Groom, they are not only gorgeous and every photographers dream, but also the most relaxed, approachable, friendliest, cutest and most loved up couple ever. Despite some ups and downs with times, weather – and by that we mean a storm of hail stones!, Ross and Charleigh took everything in their stride, and you wouldn’t have even noticed any of it. The atmosphere was fantastic, with space hoppers, hogroast, cake, dragonflies, and after all that rain and hailstones, the most beautiful sunshine for a Summer Fete themed wedding by the lake at Duncton Mill Fishery, it was, well what can I say, other than… a PERFECT day for a perfect couple.
We started the day at Ross’s family home, where Charleigh and the girls were getting ready. The talented Jenna from Jenna West Make-up was on hand for hair and make-up, and there were lots of giggles, presents and of course, Starbucks coffee followed by bubbles!
Despite being very limited with strict instructions by the Church for photo rules and regulations I still managed to capture some lovely pictures of their ceremony at St Mary the Virgin Church in Felpham.
Racing the Bride & Groom to Duncton Mill we arrived just as the hailstones fell, fortunately on hand we had a spare pair of Hunters and brollies in the boot ready and waiting for Charleigh, especially as she had quite a walk down the mud to the marquee. After being huddled in the marquee chatting and capturing all those lovely little details, we were over the moon when it finally dried up and we were able to start on those Group Photos. With lots to get through, we went straight to work, and just as we finished, we couldn’t believe our eyes when the sun came out bringing blue sky and puffy white clouds just in time for Ross & Charleigh’s couple portraits.
The backdrop for the photos here at Duncton Mill Fishery is idyllic, surrounded by beautiful lakes, flowers and woodland, the sun beamed down creating the most spectacular reflections on the water. This lovely couple helped by being completely natural in front of the camera, it was easy to capture the love between them.
Having an open marquee and lots of sunlight, we were able to photograph all of the speeches using only natural light (my personal favourite). Capturing all the laughter, tears, and more group photos, all that was left was the fun and frolics of the evening reception. The marquee had been decorated the day before by Ross & Charleigh and their family and close friends. Distinctly Yours and Astella at Amber Rose Emporium supplied more stunning decor, planning services, catering and flowers for this gorgeous wedding.
It was such a wonderful night with a great crowd of guests and staff on hand when they were needed. The whole wedding was one of my favourites this summer, from the look, couple, atmosphere to design, it was pretty perfect for an English Summer Wedding.
Loved this couple, have to say, they are awesome, not only gorgeous, but just so so nice! A huge congratulations to you both and I really do wish you the very best for the future as hubby and wifey!
